About Jeff

I’m Jeff Mac—a consultant, educator, and Bible teacher with a background in healthcare and Christian ministry. For over three decades, my work has focused on helping people and institutions think clearly, discern faithfully, and act responsibly in light of the Gospel.

My vocation has taken shape at the intersection of biblical teaching, theological reflection, and real-world responsibility. I have preached and taught Scripture since the mid-1990s and am an ordained non-denominational Christian minister. Alongside ministry, I have worked in nursing and healthcare education since 2008—experience that has deeply shaped my understanding of suffering, formation, limits, and faithful action.

Across these contexts, my role has remained consistent:
to bring clarity, perspective, and grounded insight—without creating dependence.

Mind & Soul

Mind & Soul exists as a platform for biblical teaching, theological education, and consultative work. It is oriented toward clarity rather than caretaking, formation rather than performance, and responsibility rather than control.

What began as a pastoral counseling ministry called Mind & Soul Care in 2017 has morphed into a broader teaching, writing, and consulting ministry. Mind & Soul supports individuals, leaders, and churches who want to engage Scripture honestly, think well about faith and vocation, and make wise decisions in complex or transitional seasons.

This work is educational and consultative, not pastoral in scope. It is intentionally bounded, structured, and time-limited.

The Ministry

A Clear Conviction

Everything I teach and write flows from a simple conviction:
the Good News of Jesus Christ remains sufficient, trustworthy, and life-giving.

My work is shaped by:

careful, expositional engagement with Scripture
historic Christian faith and theology
lived experience in ministry, healthcare, and leadership
a commitment to clarity, integrity, and humility

I am especially attentive to the ways faith can become entangled with unhealthy systems, unrealistic expectations, or spiritualized pressure—and to how Scripture calls us back to truth, freedom, and responsibility.

Consulting & Education

Besides speaking and writing, my ministry work today centers on consulting and education, applied in two primary contexts:

Personal Spiritual Consulting

I offer personal spiritual consulting for adults seeking clarity around discernment, vocation, or faithful decision-making. This work is consultative and structured, not therapeutic.

Church & Ministry Consulting

I provide a consultative perspective for churches and ministry leaders navigating transition, tension, or questions of direction. This work focuses on naming what is happening, clarifying options, and supporting faithful decision-making. It does not involve ongoing oversight or crisis management.

In both contexts, my role is the same: to help clarify—and then step back.

Teaching, Writing, & Speaking

In addition to consulting, I continue to teach and write on Scripture, theology, faith, and formation. My teaching is expositional and practical, connecting biblical truth with lived experience and contemporary questions.

Speaking and preaching engagements are selective and limited, and are approached as teaching opportunities rather than pastoral roles.

Personal Faith Practice

My wife and I participate in a local house-church gathering as part of our personal faith practice. This is not a public ministry offering or consulting service, but a shared life of Scripture, prayer, and fellowship.
